Camp Appanoose is located at the west end of Lake Rathbun in the scenic hills of southern Iowa. With 11,000 acres of water nearby and over fifty thousand acres of recreational land in the vicinity, there is an abundance of opportunity for a variety of outdoor sports.

In addition, the camp offers many activities, some of which must be scheduled in advance. Horseback riding, disc golf, archery, riflery, canoeing, kayaks, an indoor gym and game room are some of the activities which may be enjoyed at Camp Appanoose.
